The Bensalem Township Senior Citizen Advisory Board was established in 1988 and consists of a five-member board. The purpose of the board is to act as liaisons to the Mayor and Council for any special problems that may involve senior citizens of Bensalem Township.
MISSION STATEMENT: The Senior Citizens Advisory Board will advocate to the Mayor and Council on behalf of Bensalem Seniors by identifying resources/services needed to further enhance senior life in Bensalem.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Reviewing programs and services currently available for seniors.
- Identifying issues or concerns of seniors and channeling seniors to available resources when possible
- Proposing needed initiatives and/or possible improvements to existing programs.
