The Bensalem Township Planning Commission was established in 1956 and consists of a board, which is appointed by the Mayor for a one-year term. The purpose of the Planning Commission is to make recommendations to the Township Council on all minor subdivisions and minor land developments in accordance with the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance. The Planning Commission also makes recommendations to the Township Council on all proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance and map.
