The Bensalem Township Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board was formed in 1989 and consists of a board, appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Township Council. Members are appointed for a term of one (1) year, with each term of office expiring at the time of the January re-organization meeting of the Bensalem Township Council following the date of the member’s appointment. The purpose of the Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board is to review matters that involve drug and alcohol use, education prevention, regulation and related matters and, by a concurring vote of the majority of its members, shall advise the Township Council of their findings.
